      Location: The Salvation Army, Meridian, Mississippi Corps
      Position Type: Full-Time
      The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith based o rganization, has a job opening for a Corp Administrator for the Meridian, Mississippi Corps, located in Meridian, Mississippi.
      Job Summary:
      Serves as an evangelist to the community and constituency of the Corps; provides spiritual guidance and leadership to the same; recruits members for the Army of Jesus Christ while encouraging membership into The Salvation Army. Supervises and schedules Corps groups, community outreach programs, and social service work; monitors and maintains adequate financing and budgetary compliance of the Corps operations.
      Key Responsibilities: Knowledge of the mission and ministry of The Salvation Army. Knowledge of Bible, doctrine and theology; principles and practices of Christian leadership and spiritual development; effective preaching and teaching skills and practices; Knowledge of a wide variety of creative resources and practices which facilitate the modern development and promotion of Corps and community spiritual development programs; social service skills and practices. Ability to recruit, lead, and motivate soldiers to accomplish the total mission of Jesus Christ through The Salvation Army. Ability to establish and nurture relationships with adults and children of all ages and their families; plan, organize, and promote Corp group functions; and to administer within established budget constraints.

      Licenses and Certifications
      • Valid state driver license.
      • Bon-a-fide Occupational Qualification (BFOQ)This position requires an active, uniform-wearing Salvationist in good standing in the Sergent position.

      Physical Requirements and Working Conditions - Constant amount of physical effort required associated with hand movement, holding, finger dexterity, reading, writing, eye-hand coordination, vision, hearing, talking, and sitting at least 90% of the work time; rare to occasional amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting up to 30 lbs, pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, squatting, crawling, and reaching at least 30% of the work time.
      Work is typically performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. Work requires travel in order to conduct community and home visits.
