      Responsabilidades

      • Mantener, solucionar problemas y reparar la protección catódica, el monitoreo de corrosión interna y los sistemas de recubrimiento por encima / debajo del suelo.
      • Administrar y coordinar el uso de contratistas externos para estudios de corrosión e instalaciones de sistemas de protección catódica.
      • Proporcionar capacitación, entrenamiento y orientación a otro personal de campo que realiza actividades de control de corrosión.
      • Mantener registros de la empresa para garantizar el cumplimiento de los requisitos reglamentarios.
      • Proporcionar experiencia técnica para evaluar y resolver problemas de diseño, operación y mantenimiento relacionados con el control de la corrosión.
      • Identificar y mitigar problemas de interferencia.
      • Asistir en el diseño y mantenimiento de sistemas de protección catódica.
      • Representar a la Compañía en auditorías del programa de control de corrosión.
      • Mantener / reparar el sistema de monitoreo remoto del rectificador.

      Requisitos Obligatorios

      • Certificado de Bachillerato o Carrera Técnica.
      • Debe tener una certificación de técnico de protección catódica CP2 NACE, mínimo.
      • Debe tener un mínimo de 3-5 años de experiencia en el control de corrosión de tuberías.
      • Se requiere el conocimiento de normativa mexicana de protección catódica, así como los estándares relacionados de la industria.
      • Demostrar habilidades efectivas de comunicación verbal y escrita.
      • Debe tener la capacidad de completar tareas y tareas de una manera segura y ambientalmente responsable, asegurando el manejo y la disposición adecuada de los desechos peligrosos.
      • Utilice computadoras y correo electrónico para comunicación interna y externa, mantenimiento de registros, informes en línea, pedidos de materiales y suministros, y la presentación de varios formularios.
      • Debe poseer y mantener una licencia de conducir válida.
      • Se prefiere la experiencia de prevención de corrosión interna.
      • Se prefieren los recubrimientos por encima / por debajo del suelo.

      What you’ll do

      • Maintain, troubleshoot and repair cathodic protection, internal corrosion monitoring and above/below ground coating systems
      • Manage and coordinate usage of third-party contractors for corrosion surveys and cathodic protection system installations
      • Provide training, coaching and mentoring to other field personnel who perform corrosion control activities
      • Maintain company records to assure compliance with regulatory requirements
      • Provide technical expertise to assess and resolve design, operating and maintenance issues related to corrosion control
      • Identify and mitigate interference issues
      • Assist in the design of and maintain cathodic protection systems
      • Represent Company in PHMSA audits of corrosion control program
      • Maintain/repair rectifier remote monitoring system
      • Assist with regular Operations PM’s as required based on work load

      Minimum Qualifications

      • Minimum education of a high school diploma or GED
      • Must have a minimum NACE Level CP2 Cathodic Protection Technician certification
      • Must have a minimum 3-5 years of experience in pipeline corrosion control
      • Knowledge of CP Mexican regulations and related industry standards is required.
      • Demonstrate effective written & verbal communication skills
      • Must have the ability to complete tasks and assignments in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, ensuring proper handling and disposition of hazardous waste
      • Utilize computers and e-mail for internal and external communication, record keeping, on-line reporting, material and supply ordering, and filing of various forms
      • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
      • Internal corrosion prevention experience preferred.
      • Above/below ground coatings experience preferred
