- Determine and report standard costing for all products and analyze production variances.
- Assist in forecasting and month-end close of the General Ledger.
- Ownership and maintenance of SOX controls.
- Reconcile raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory monthly.
- Coordinate with and assist Operations team members on physical inventories, cycle counts, and reconciliations.
- Plan, study, and collect data to determine costs of business activities such as purchase price variance, labor, burden, material, and Bill of Material.
- Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on cost.
- Analyze actual costs and prepare reports comparing variances in standard costs to actual production costs.
- Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
- Record cost information for use in controlling expenditures.
- Drive cross-functional behavior to meet planned cost expenditures.
- Create estimates of new and proposed product costs.
- Analyze and report specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services across multiple locations or markets.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 6+ years of cost accounting experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required or equivalent work experience.

- IFRS and US GAAP knowledge considered a plus.

Compensation: $150,000 to $175,000 per year. You are eligible for a Short-Term Incentive Plan with the target at 15% of your annual earnings; terms and conditions apply.
Cost Accounting Sr. Manager - Aliso Viejo, CA (Hybrid)
The Cost Accounting Sr. Manager supports the finance department and reports to the CFO. This position is responsible for the development of systems and processes relating to cost accounting, product costing, ongoing accounting and analysis ownership. This position will play a key role in business and process analysis, creating reporting structure, KPI's, budget planning, forecasting and supporting his/her business partners. The role requires the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines, attention to detail, and ongoing process and system improvement.
