To perform cost management functions and analyses delivering insights along four key dimensions of member, resource, channel and product. Monitor Navy Federal’s compliance with management accounting standards and other financial regulations. Work in close coordination with senior-level team members.
Responsibilities
• Support the design, maintenance, and analysis of models used to determine the cost of resources, channels, and products using activity-based costing (ABC) methods
• Consolidate and organize financial data synthesized from the ABC system and other information sources in support of cost analyses
• Provide supporting data and analytical insights in order to recommend cost improvement and/or efficiency measures for functional areas
• Analyze cost information to assess, track, and measure enterprise business cases
• Assist business areas with integrating cost driver information into the planning and forecasting process
• Gather input data to understand business processes and organization constructs in order to help develop functional requirements; design, test, and implement new systems, enhancements and modifications
• Recommend enhancements to the ABC system to reflect changes in Navy Federal’s business model
• Assist with compiling executive reporting packages providing output view to support business decisions and on-going analysis
• Execute processes and procedures to ensure accurate compilation of ABC submittals
• Perform recurring model maintenance activities including data organization, model population, job execution, validation, etc.
• Use technology and automation to optimize modeling activities
• Perform recurring operations task management activities including communications and notifications, submission tracking, calendar formulation, reconciliations, etc.
• Develop and maintain model documentation
• Participate in cross-functional working groups
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Accounting, Finance or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
• Experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, and other financial guidelines
• Knowledge of activity-based costing (ABC) concepts
• Experience working in a team environment in close coordination with senior-level team members
• Experience in exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills
• Effective database and presentation software skills
• Effective skill presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives and information clearly and concisely
• Advance research, analytical, and problem solving skills

• Knowledge of Navy Federal’s functions, philosophy, operations and organizational objectives
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30AM - 5:00PM
Location: 820 Follin Lane, Vienna, VA 22180
Navy Federal is now hybrid! Our standard enterprise requirement for a hybrid schedule is to report on-site 4-16 days each month. The number of days reporting on-site will ultimately be determined by the employee's leadership and business unit needs. You will learn more throughout the hiring and on boarding process.
Salary Range: $79,200 - $110,600 annually
Navy Federal Credit Union assesses market data to establish salary ranges that enable us to remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range, based on your experience, location and market position.
