- Req#: 146807
- Minimum of 4 years industry experience producing product cost estimates per the review and analysis of specifications and Architectural and Structural drawings
- Experience with manufacturing, steel and millwork fabrication, and on-site construction processes
- Knowledge of project budgeting, planning and execution
- Previous work experience monitoring and controlling project schedules
- Working knowledge of pre-construction processes and documents pertaining to music education, athletic and performing arts applications
- Ability to read and interpret bid documents, specifications, and drawings
- Proficiency with AutoCAD software, 2D drafting for projects requiring proposal drawings
- SolidWorks and Revit skills
- Work on all types of project estimates
- Review and markup project documentation including drawings and specifications.
- Produce accurate estimates and quotations from concept phase through submittal phase using MS Excel spreadsheets, BlueBeam, AutoCAD and Epicor tools
- Review and coordinate the development of cost estimates and project schedules with Design, Project and Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Purchasing and Product Management
- Work in collaboration with all Engineering departments to determine manufacturability and ensure product performance standards can be met
- Communicate with Sales, Project Engineers/Designers and Product Management regarding project requirements and pricing development
- Post order cost tracking and evaluation of manufacturing costs

This is a Hybrid Position which requires periodic work within the Owatonna, MN facility. The hybrid schedule includes a working schedule where you would alternate between working remotely and in the Owatonna office. Therefore, candidates must reside within in reasonable drivable distance to the facility.

Wenger Corporation is growing and seeking a Cost Estimator. Reporting to the Project Engineering Manager, this individual is a key player on the Operations team, reviews project drawings, specifications, schedules and produces product quotations for bids and proposals of shop-fabricated products meeting customer performance standards. The estimator assists operations and engineering in developing costs and schedules for custom solutions and works to improve the estimating and submittal processes.
