      Cost Optimisation Manager


      Join our dynamic team as a Cost Optimisation Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in project and change delivery, focusing on all areas of spend. You will work closely with key stakeholders to identify and manage improvements to cost processes, contract management, and adherence. This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of shaping the future of Operations at AstraZeneca.


      As a Cost Optimisation Manager, you will develop, manage, and execute a cost-saving pipeline through internal process improvement. You will work closely with key sponsors and finance as well as cross-functional teams to deliver process improvements that yield financial benefit to UK operations. Your role will also involve influencing and negotiating commercial terms with product and service providers.

      Essential Skills/Experience:
      - Strong commercial acumen and extensive procurement experience
      - Demonstrated negotiation skills
      - Process driven with strong problem-solving experience
      - Ability to challenge current ways of working and hold yourself and others to account
      - Tenacity to aim big and achieve results
      - Demonstrate strong communication and networking skills
      - Excellent stakeholder engagement and management
      - Resilience to work in a challenging environment

      Desirable Skills/Experience:
      - Experience in a highly regulated environment
      - Project Management experience
      - Demonstrated experience in business process definition and embedding
