      The following position is an extra-duty position open only to CURRENT employees of Berkeley County Schools.

      POSITION:

      CO-CHAIRPERSON- BERKELY COUNTY CRISIS TEAM

      RESPONSIBILITY: To serve as the Co-Chairperson for the District’s Crisis Response Team.

      ACCOUNTABLE TO:

      Executive Director Organizational Development & Student Learning Experiences

      EMPLOYMENT TERM/ SALARY SCHEDULE:

      $800 Extra-Duty Stipend on 200 Day Employment Term

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      Current BCS Employee

      West Virginia Teacher Certification and/or a master's degree in a Human Services or Health Field.

      Crisis Team experience preferred.

      FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

      Co-leads:

      1. Crisis team by providing overall coordination during a crisis response.

      2. Mobilizes crisis team during a crisis response.

      3. Serves as a liaison with district and school administrators and with community emergency response agencies during a crisis response.

      4. Facilitates debriefing sessions after crisis team members have responded to a crisis situation.

      5. Organizes and facilitates bimonthly crisis team planning/staff development meetings.

      6. Assists with updating district crisis response training and resource manuals.

      7. Helps to keep crisis team members aware of current trends and research findings.

      8. Submits recommendations to the Executive Director Organizational Development & Student Learning Experiences for improvements in Crisis Response.

      9. Performs other reasonable, job-related duties assigned by the Executive Director Organizational Development & Student Learning Experiences.
