The Sun Life CPA Pre-Approved Rotational Program develops future CPAs and business leaders by providing meaningful career experiences, enabling participants to expand their knowledge of Finance and Accounting , while honing their strategic problem-solving skills .

The program includes:

• Three one-year rotations (a 36-month program ) which provides a unique diversified learning experi e nce ac ross different business units within Sun Life

• Q ualifying practical experience to gain your technical competencies under a certified CPA pre-approved program (PPR)

• Complex work assignments that will help you develop your en abling competencies, such as demonstrating professional values , problem solving, communicating, managing self, and collaborating / leading in team environments.

• Financial and study time support to help you successfully complete CPA’s Professional Education Program (PEP) , and Common Final examination (CFE), along with i ncentives to help you stay motivated as you progress toward s CPA certification.

• Mentorship from a Sun Life CPA ( director level or higher)

• A ccess to an established network of finance professionals within a collaborative environment to build meaningful relationships , allow for open exchange of ideas and sharing of knowledge.

What do you need to succeed?

• Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited accounting, commerce, or business undergraduate program at a post-secondary institution.

• Have a strong GPA and meet all pre-requisites for entry into the CPA Professional Educational Program (PEP) as of start date.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and concepts

• Strong interpersonal, team building and leadership skills

• Highly motivated, self-starter

• Strong work ethic and professionalism

• Commitment to learning and self-development

• Demonstrates analytical, problem solving and conceptual thinking skills

• Experience with data analytics will be considered an asset

• Well-rounded experiences in academics and extra-curricular activities

Requirements:

• Candidates graduating between A pril 2024 and September 2025 will be considered.

• Rotations may be based out of either our Toronto or W aterloo office over the 3 years (remote or hybrid depending on the nature of the role and subject to change ) .
