      Job Title: Crane Operator


      Job Description

      We are seeking an experienced Crane Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating overhead cranes, industrial forklifts, excavators, and front-end loaders for material movement. This role includes loading and unloading of barges, rail cars, and flatbed trucks, as well as staging lumber, steel bars, iron plates, and pallets in the warehouse. General labor duties will be required as needed.

      Responsibilities

      • Load and unload barges, rail cars, and flatbed trucks.
      • Stage lumber, steel bars, iron plates, and pallets in the warehouse.
      • Perform general labor duties as needed.

      Essential Skills

      • Overhead crane operation
      • Industrial forklift operation up to 90,000 lbs
      • Ability to work outside in various weather conditions

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Skid steer experience
      • Front-end loader experience
      • TWIC card required

      Work Environment

      You will primarily work outside on the shipyard in all weather conditions (rain or shine). The work schedule is from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM every day, with a weekly schedule provided. Typically, you will work around 2 weeks on and 1 week off. This position is based out of New Orleans, Louisiana, and is a Contract to Hire role.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
