  Job Description

  Join our dynamic team as a Crane Operator, working primarily on commercial and institutional projects. We specialize in various roof types, including both flat and sloped roofs, and focus on sheet metal for sloped roofs in our cladding department. Occasionally, we also take on high-rise building projects, ensuring diverse and exciting work opportunities.

  Responsibilities

  • Operate cranes efficiently on commercial and institutional construction projects.
  • Ensure safe and accurate handling of materials, particularly sheet metal for sloped roofs.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on schedule.
  • Maintain equipment and perform routine safety checks.

  Essential Skills

  • Experience in commercial and institutional construction.
  • Proficiency in crane operation, including stiff boom under 40 tonnes certification.
  • Possession of a Class 3 license with air brake endorsement.

  Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience with machine operation and boom lift usage.
  • Familiarity with air brake systems.
  • Proven track record working on commercial or institutional projects.

  Work Environment

  Our projects span across the Lower Mainland, offering a variety of work locations. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 6:00am to 2:15pm, with potential overtime and some scheduled Saturday work. Safety gear, including gloves, glasses, vests, and harnesses, is provided, but candidates must have their own steel toe boots and hard hat.

  This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Surrey, British Columbia.

  Pay and Benefits

  The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $40.00/hr.

  This is a fully onsite position in Surrey,BC.
