      This position is located in Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Coast Guard, Director of Operational Logistics, Base New Orleans, Naval Engineering Department, Industrial Production Facility, Base New Orleans, in New Orleans, LA.

      Requirements


      • U.S. Citizenship is required.
      • A final offer of employment is contingent upon a negative drug test result.
      • The position requires a valid state driver's license.
      • Applicant is required to meet the physical requirements of the position.
      • Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
      • A one-year probationary period may be required.
      • This position requires a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
      • Lift loads weighing up to 75 lbs. carry packages up to 45 lbs.

      Qualifications


      Applicants will be evaluated on their ability to perform the duties of the position rather than the length of experience. Eligibility will be determined by the relevance, scope, and quality of all experience and training, regardless of where or how acquired.

      Applicants will be rated and ranked based on their knowledge of the following job elements:

      • Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment.

      • Knowledge of Materials.

      • Trouble shooting
