Job Description

- Operate and maintains ARFF Firefighting vehicles, tools and rescue equipment.
- Preposition emergency vehicles at the scene to apply extinguishing agents as necessary for fire control and/or facilitates self-evacuation of aircraft occupants.
- Accomplishes Rescue Operations in the event of a mishap.
- Perform standbys for aircraft operations, including engine runs, fueling and defueling, and all other related aircraft hazardous activities.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience
- Experience with Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting.
- Must be able to pass a firefighter physical.
- Ability to perform duties and tasking with limited supervision.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Qualified as ARFF vehicle driver/operator.

As a member of the ARFF team you will respond to actual/potential ground and Flight emergencies to prevent or extinguish fires and rescue aircraft crewmembers.
Basic Duties
Personnel are required to meet IFSTA/ NFPA certification for ARFF vehicle operations, current ARFF standards including live Fire Training, CPR and First Aid, knowledge of firefighting principles, procedures and techniques. Understand the proper use and capabilities of extinguishing agents, use of Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus; aircraft shutdown procedures, techniques both normal and forcible entry, general knowledge of aircraft construction and including fuel, oil and electrical systems.
