      Destination Canada is looking for a Creative Production Manager , to join our team in Vancouver as we inspire travellers to explore Canada.

      Reporting to the Senior Manager, Global Owned Media, the Creative Production Manager will lead our internal Creative Services team including Graphic Design, Production (Video/Asset/Content) and Writing. You will build plans, systems and processes that help bridge gaps and create efficiencies as well as ensuring these tools and processes are adopted to meet the needs of our internal clients and external contractors.

      You understand the creative process; but aren’t here to leave a creative mark. Instead, you’re a facilitator and a leader. You have a way of knowing everything that’s happening within a team and provide expert knowledge and advice to support them. You anticipate upcoming projects, triage requests and seamlessly manage the day to day, while keeping a few of your own projects on the go. Ultimately you do all this to support bringing our brand to life in an effective and efficient process across a wide range of products.

      Note: The successful candidate will be working under Destination Canada’s Hybrid Working Model. This model requires all employees to work 2-3 days/week in the office. The remainder of the work week can be spent working from a home office.

      DUTIES: This role will oversee the function of delivering creative work across various units and manage the allocation and coordination of human and financial resources from the Creative Services team and external contractors who support the work.

      Key accountabilities:

      • Manage the entire lifecycle of creative/brand team led projects, from concept to completion including, managing brand resources, defining project objectives, setting timelines, and ensuring that all tasks are completed on schedule.
      • Liaise with key internal stakeholders to identify timelines and resources required for upcoming projects. Acts as point of contact to allocate resources and manage accounts.
      • Champion and develop internal processes to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality improvements.
      • Drive new initiatives to expand the impact of the Creative team by identifying new products or services or expanding upon our existing services into new offerings.
      • Run daily/weekly resource meetings and facilitate solutioning regarding resourcing issues or conflict resolution.
      • Keep project status reports up to date, ensure successful completion of project deliverables.
      • Lead regular brand and design work and project/status updates communications for to internal and external stakeholders.
      • Create and manage project responsibilities and standardized processes for team and regularly reviewing opportunities to enhance efficiency.
      • Prepare documentation and paperwork for all external support agencies and freelance hires including Statements of Work, Short Form Service Agreements, and other agreements as required
      • Track and manage Rosters for Graphic Design, Video and Photo Production and Writing Services.
      • Manage freelance and contract worker relationships through regular involvement in work and following procurement roster vendor management guidelines.
      • Lead on the development of competitive processes (as required, normally one large Request for Proposal project every two years).
      • Prepares yearly and quarterly forecasts through consultation with team and forward-looking needs assessments.
      • Support special projects as required such as cross functional initiatives to improve the communication and efficacy of our brand.

      Essential Qualifications

      EDUCATION: Graduation from a recognized university in Business, Marketing, or Advertising or other relevant discipline or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.

      EXPERIENCE: When applying, the candidate must clearly demonstrate in writing how they meet the following experience criteria:

      • Minimum 5 years experience working with project/task management systems and designing workflows.
      • Experience in project management and resourcing.
      • Experience managing a team (does not need to be direct reports).
      • Experience working in a production studio or advertising/media production.
      • Experience in brand management.

      KNOWLEDGE:

      • In depth knowledge and understanding of system implementation.
      • Solid understanding of project management tools.
      • Knowledge of production in brand/marketing environment.
      • Knowledge of business processes related to finance and procurement.

      ABILITIES:

      • Ability to lead and manage projects.
      • Strategic thinker with experience in process and systems design.
      • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
      • Excellent communicator with the ability to effectively communicate across a range of channels/methods.
