Job Description

- Associate degree with three or more years of related work experience with one year of Epic EHR experience.
- Minimum: One year Epic-EHR experience
- Complete knowledge of office procedures and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) required
- Has trained up to 50 Epic classes
- Minimum: Obtaining applicable certification as a Credentialed Trainer will be an expectation of the role
- Applicant is expected to maintain certification as current by completing New Version Training (NVT), as applicable
- Epic Ambulatory Certification
- Workflow Analysis and Curriculum Design and Development:
- Assisting in the identification of end-users (role and headcount) requiring training on applicable Epic application
- Reviewing and becoming well-versed in the E-Learning tools that will be available to end-users
- Training Execution and End-User Support:
- Delivering end-user training
- Assist with designing and developing the methodology for tracking and reporting end-user training statistics (e.g., attendance, competency, success rate, etc.)
- Coordinate logistics associated with training delivery preparation activities such as copying and assembling printed materials, set-up, maintenance of training rooms, equipment preparation, post training, clean-up, etc.
- Communicate changes and enhancements of the Epic electronic health record to the end users.
- Independently lead ongoing training and acts as the primary training support of the electronic health record.
- At Go-Live, Credentialed Trainers will be:
- Providing one-on-one or remedial training for end-users as needed
- Attending go-live “triage” meetings to solicit and facilitate end-user feedback on system
- Being flexible in terms of work schedule management and accessibility during training delivery and Go-Live
- Providing go-live support for users on new applications, including functionality
- Providing on-call support for application through go-live and post go-live
- Job-Specific Competencies
- Attend a formal training class specifically for Epic credentialed trainers.
- Receive training on the courses (applications) that will be taught
- Training will be 5-6 weeks to become a credentialed trainer
- Complete a credentialing exam with a minimum score of 85%
- Pass all end-user proficiency assessment with a minimum score of 80%
- Give a formal panel presentation on the material you will be teaching.
Job Overview:
The Credentialed Trainer is responsible for providing staff education on IT applications to include Epic electronic health record software. This staff education will be delivered virtually and in-classroom. Credentialed Trainers provide customer support, answer customer hotline, assist with development of training materials and escalate issues as needed. This position requires a commitment to work full time alongside training and other operational and IT professionals.
