- You will help us manage processes related to the collection of past due accounts by phone outreach and email; this will include counseling students and parents on alternative ways to pay current and past due balances and setting up payment plans.
- You will help us manage the integrity of student accounts for accuracy of charges, payments and related communications.
- You will assess creditworthiness and student situations, approve payment arrangements, and communicate denial of extension of credit when necessary.
- You will manage student information system for placement and removal of financial holds and restrictions based on payment statuses and other relevant factors.
- You will resolve service issues for us by using all available resources.
- You will understand and act following SNHU culture and core values in all actions and interactions.
- You will work as a member of a team with a willingness to support the success of the team.
- You will demonstrate ability to take on new or modified activities as changes impact job requirements and assigned tasks.

- High School or GED with 1+ years of work experience in related field (e.g., credit and collections, law or justice studies, risk management, student affairs.)
- Strong verbal and written skills over phone and email.
- Conflict management and ability to de-escalate.
- Technical skills including (Word, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Outlook).
- Experience working in collaboration with others to meet goals.
- This role requires you to be available to work nights and weekends.

The opportunity
The Credit Advisor I mitigates risk for the institution by assisting students in resolving past due balances owed to the university. The Credit Advisor I works an assigned case load and works as part of a team to achieve these goals.
This is a remote friendly position (#LI-Remote). You will report to the Team Lead of Credit and Collections

Compensation
The annual pay range for this position is $38,750.00 - $62,010.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $42,818.00 - $57,930.00.Exceptional benefits (because you’re exceptional)
