- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business
- 2+ years of experience in the credit and collections process
- Strong analytical skills and the desire to promote program growth and process improvement opportunities

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate level in Excel)
- Must be detail oriented and organized

- Ability to engage with customers, begin a conversation, build rapport, and handle objections.
- Ability to develop and manage customer and store associate relationships
- Customer service focus with the ability to listen to customer needs and recommend solutions

- Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information
- Comfortable receiving ongoing performance feedback and coaching.
- Create, prepare and update reports by collecting and analyzing information.
- Resolve complaints by investigating issues and composing responses
- Perform billing and reconciliation activities
- Prepare statements and other supporting documentation as necessary to generate prompt customer payments and manage AR portfolio including customer refunds
- Work directly with customers, Pro store associates, store managers, outside credit agencies and Treasury to facilitate credit and billing solutions
- Apply analytical and critical thinking skills to perform variance analysis and advise on action steps in resolving discrepancies
- Gather financial information from customer web-sites, D & B, Credit Risk Monitor and other available tools.
- Assist with training F&D associates about the commercial credit programs and their features
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
- Provide timely response to all customers inquires
- This person may be responsible for collections, cash applications, disputes and /or any other job-related duties or special projects as assignee
- The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.

Purpose:
This role supports the Manager, Credit and Collections and works closely with other departments within the company to support the development and growth of the company’s Commercial and Professional credit offerings. As a high-growth area within the company, the responsibilities of this role will change as needed to best support the Commercial Business Account program. Responsibilities can include application processing, the approval and issuance of invoices, assisting with reporting metrics, development of program materials, the rollout of new programs and participation in store events throughout the country. As a key element of this role, you will responsible along with other team members, to function as a contact for Pro and Commercial customer relationship building and issue resolution. As such, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong value-based relationships with our customers, and ultimately ensuring that our customers understand they are a valuable asset to Floor & Decor. The analyst will work in a centralized unit and will communicate regularly via phone, email and other electronic media.
