Job Description

Conduct assessment of clients’ financial position to propose viable and bankable re-structuring solutions of distressed client facilities to recover situation as soon as possible, ensuring that the necessary action is taken as per SOP.

Build and maintain effective internal and external client relationships by understanding clients’ financial situation and providing the necessary guidance to ensure that amicable repayment plan is agreed upon.

Rehabilitate arrears or defaulted accounts by evaluating risk and ensuring the best solution for all parties is implemented or handover portfolio to legal collections.

Implement sound credit risk management by, providing advice on credit risk matters to sales.

Notify clients of arrears accounts by preparing relevant correspondence as per SOP.

Contribute to building intellectual capital of the team by knowledge sharing with all stake holders.

Ensure compliance to legislation by making recommendations based on the credit policy guidelines.

Keep abreast of legislation and other industry changes that impacts on role by reading the relevant newsletters, website and attending sessions.

Ensure information is provided correctly to stakeholders, by maintaining knowledge, sharing knowledge with team.

Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals, by participation in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g. staff surveys)

Participate and support corporate social responsibility initiatives, for the achievement of key business strategies.

Identify and recommend opportunities, to enhance processes, systems and policies and support implementation of new processes, policies and systems.

Good understanding of basic credit requirements and client repayment ability assessment

Demonstrate sound knowledge of the Bank’s Products and Credit Policies

Knowledge of Bank of Namibia and Reserve Bank policies and rules, will be an advantage.

Strong analytical and computer skills, good interpretative skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.

Must be able to meet stringent deadlines and perform under pressure.
