- Performs pre-qualification assessment and analysis of financial condition and risk of financing requests within framework of Bank credit culture and current economic and industry trends.
- Gathers data from customers, internal and outside sources; prepares spreadsheets and analyzes financial information including financial statements and tax returns; obtains additional information and clarification of data.
- Compiles data from credit bureaus, conducts industry peer comparisons, and performs cash flow analyses and other such tasks and comparisons.
- Obtains sufficient information and/or documentation from customers; solves problems relative to processing and servicing of loans.
- Checks pledged assets.
- Develops knowledge of financial industry, economy, market conditions, rates, vendors and competition.
- Reinforces the application of superior customer service through his or her own example along with appropriate follow through with involved customers and employees.
- Communicates with Ag/Commercial Bankers regarding covenants and monitoring
- Treats people with respect; keeps commitments; Inspires the trust of others; works ethically and with integrity; upholds organizational values; accepts responsibility for own actions.
- Assures compliance with all Bank policies, procedures and processes, and all applicable state and federal banking laws, rules and regulations; adheres to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) responsibilities that are specific to the position.
- Completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; supports the Bank’s goals and values; benefits the Bank through outside activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must be a current student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Business Administration or related field.
- Must possess a minimum or 3.0 (out of a 4 point scale) overall GPA
- Junior or Senior classification preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem solving skills required
- Must be detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks
- Must be able to work independently or in a team setting
Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
During this internship you will learn how to gather and analyze credit information on current and potential borrowers; determine the advisability of granting credit for diversified types of loans; assist loan officers in writing loan requests; promote business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services.
