Credit & Collection Specialist
Job Description
Develop and administer Credit & Collections / Accounts Receivable (OTC) plans and processes to investigate and minimize credit risk in line with internal and external policies and standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Develop and administer Credit and Collections plans and processes to minimize risk, ensure timely repayments, minimize losses and economic collection of arrears.
• Deliver Accounts Receivable (OTC) processes as per required standards, policies, targets, and schedule such as SLA and internal and external customer expectations in addition to close follow up on the collection process.
• Analyze and investigate credit risks and provide proposal to manager to make decisions regarding credit extensions or credit stop.
• Resolve difficult Credit and Collections problems.
• Assist in the collection, management, and resolution of outstanding invoices from past due accounts.
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly collections reports and Accounts Receivable age analysis and reporting.
• Resolve customer issues such as billing disputes, overdue payments, need for treatment plans, problems with data quality, etc.
• Prepare proposals for service improvements that will deliver higher quality and/or lower cost.
• Verify customer credit approval and applicable payment terms.
• Process payments and apply to customer balances in the Accounts Receivable ledger, including reconciliation of cash payments on daily basis (customers payments posting & allocation)
• Monitor status of individual credit accounts to identify and address problem debts.
• Follow up with reminder letters and emails to customers to process claims for outstanding accounts.
• Monitoring Closely the customers with no credit facilities to maintain zero balances in their accounts & follow up on any collection’s shortage if any.
General Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification
• Minimum 3 years experience in the related area
• Strong problem-solving mentality & communication skills
