Working on the delivery of new and existing business lending credit risk strategies for Business Lending
Manipulating data to investigate developing trends and draw insight
Using hypothesis led analytics to assess portfolio performance, and formulate initiatives that generate business and customer value
Using data to assist management and project stakeholders across the business with decision making
Developing and maintaining effective controls that ensure our credit strategies and processes operate safely within agreed tolerances and meet our risk and governance obligations
Reporting, escalating and remediating issues in a timely manner and in line with the Group’s operational risk processes, ensuring risk issues and actions are appropriately managed

Are curious with ability to independently problem solve
Have a positive attitude and willingness to develop skills
Preferred 1 year in credit risk or similar experience (e.g. analytics)
Preferred proficient in data analytics tools eg: R/Python/SAS/SQL, and MS Suite
Ability to work with large data sets to gather insights
Can use data driven analytics to develop insights, reporting and recommendations
Ability to understand complex problems and take a structured approach to solve
Preferred degree in relevant discipline (Economics, Statistics, Maths, Actuarial, Finance, Engineering or Sciences)

The Business Credit Risk Strategy Centre of Excellence is responsible for developing automated credit strategies that provide the best lending experience for our customers, within risk appetite. We build credit strategies to support the automation of business lending, in-life processes and arrears management.
We use data, analytics, risk management practices and commercial acumen to build strategies that provide the best risk-reward outcome.
In this role
As an analyst, you will be working on developments in credit strategy, automated decisioning and portfolio monitoring of Business Lending products. As well as supporting wider Business Banking projects with credit risk analytics, insight, reporting and controls. You will be assisting in analytical deep dives and identifying developing trends and new opportunities. You will maintain portfolio monitoring tools while working with your stakeholders to influence change that optimises business return while maintaining great customer outcomes.
