      We’re excited to be recruiting for a Credit Risk Manager to join us in the Leveraged Finance & Growth Capital Risk team. The Leveraged Finance & Growth Capital Risk team provides independent risk analysis and sanctioning for mid-market private equity-backed transactions (LBOs) and high-growth SME financing.

      As a Credit Risk Manager, you’ll be part of a close-knit and high-performing team, you’ll be sanctioning transactions using your own individual Delegated Authority (“DA”) or providing recommendations to higher DA holders / Credit Fora or Committees.

      The difference you’ll make:

      • Developing and maintaining good working relationships with key stakeholders across Risk and Front Office
      • Providing guidance and advice to Front Office colleagues re risk appetite, structuring, and risk mitigation when required e.g. sightings / initial appetite discussions
      • Analysing requests, producing high-quality credit analysis with a balanced view of the risks and a clear course of action
      • Sanctioning under own DA or providing recommendations to higher DA holders / Credit Fora or Committees
      • Assisting and supporting colleagues and Head of Leveraged Finance & Growth Capital Risk incl. involvement / lead in projects

      What you’ll bring:

      • Background in or exposure to the UK structured finance market / cashflow lending
      • Understanding of the corporate banking suite of products, including derivatives and other specialist products offered by the bank

      It would also be nice for you to have:

      • Some background in or exposure to mid-market private equity-backed leveraged lending (LBOs) / high-growth entrepreneurial SMEs (ideally both)
      • Some knowledge of banking documentation including LMA for Leveraged Finance
      • Ability to make firm, independent decisions and provide clear, concise, credit arguments to justify sanctions/ recommendations
      • Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and excellent stakeholder management skills

      Our preferred location for this Permanent role is London – Triton Square and current expectation is at least 2 days in an office every week. We would also encourage you to apply if you are in a reasonable travel distance of Unity Place - Milton Keynes, Manchester or Glasgow.

      • Eligible for a discretionary performance-related annual bonus
