    • An individual who does not currently hold a master’s degree but would like to complete one in the areas of English, Math, Science, History, or Political Science.
    • An individual who currently holds a master’s degree but needs to complete the 18 graduate hours in their area of concentration (English, Math, Science, History, Speech, or Political Science) in order to be credentialed to teach Dual Credit Courses
    • Complete an application on the Clint ISD website. This application is required and will be used to determine the district's need for applicant credentials. Not all teachers will automatically be accepted into the program. The number of acceptances will be based on available funding and district needs.
    • Obtain a letter of support and recommendation from your campus principal (uploaded on application).
    • Cannot be on any form of growth or intervention plan. All T-TESS/TIA domains must be Proficient or Above.
    • Submit an application and be admitted to the UTEP Graduate College. The application for admission is submitted directly to UTEP and all fees associated with that submission are the responsibility of the candidate.
    • Must commit to completing the degree/courses necessary for credentialing within two years of starting the program.
    • Must maintain a 3.0 GPA to continue to receive financial support from CISD
    • Must agree to a minimum 3-year commitment to CISD to work as a dual credit teacher (Failure to meet this commitment would result in a required reimbursement of the accrued expenses. This reimbursement will result in a deduction to the employee’s paycheck until the amount has been repaid not to exceed 12 months and before any separation of employment occurs or via a check written to Clint ISD within 30 days.)
    • Must be willing to be reassigned to any high school campus in need of a dual credit teacher in their content area at any time

    • Paid Fees: Included in tuition invoice, excluding any fines or fees unrelated to program expense
    • Paid Parking permit when applicable
    • Paid Textbooks-UTEP bookstore only
    • CREEED’s Accelerator Certification Scholarship

      The CREEED’s Accelerator Certification Scholarship is a program sponsored by Clint Independent School District in conjunction with the Council on Regional Economic Expansion and Educational Development (CREEED), the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) and the El Paso Community College (EPCC). The purpose of this program is to support teachers in the necessary degree completion for the teaching of dual credit courses and early college high school curricula/PTECH programs for college preparatory purposes within Clint ISD schools.

      The CREEED’s Accelerator Certification Scholarship Program is seeking candidates who are currently certified as high school teachers in the core content areas who fall into one of the two categories listed below:
      • An individual who does not currently hold a master’s degree but would like to complete one in the areas of English, Math, Science, History, or Political Science.
      • An individual who currently holds a master’s degree but needs to complete the 18 graduate hours in their area of concentration (English, Math, Science, History, Speech, or Political Science) in order to be credentialed to teach Dual Credit Courses
      NOTE: Middle school teachers are eligible to participate in this program so long as they have high school certification in a core content area prior to applying for the program.
