      Summary

      The purpose of this document is to describe the necessary requirements for the position of tufting creeler in plant operations. The tufting Creelers main responsibility is to ensure that optimum standard conditions are utilized for the tufting processes and that those processes meet all of Fieldturf’s standards for performance.

      Job Responsibilities:

      Responsible for maintaining creels in the Tufting Department but not limited to the following:

      • Motivated, Mature & Professional work attitude.

      • Must have the mental ability to advise, calculate, compare, classify, diagnose, direct, estimate, evaluate, inspect, instruct, interpret, measure, monitor, observe, organize, plan, read, recommend, record, select, troubleshoot, verify, and the ability to train and lead associates in a production floor environment

      • Work around and with automated equipment, moving machinery, and computerized systems

      • This position requires working inside the plant area

      • This position requires the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

      • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills and must be able to work in a close team environment, not only with his/her department, but also with any other department.

      • Have manual dexterity, mechanical skills, presentation skills, math skills and judgment skills

      • Attention to detail, ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions, ability to resolve issues involving variables in standardized situations

      • Frequently required to reach overhead, kneel, change bobbins, remove bobbins and empty cones, change backing, read and understand line changes, creel changes both full and partial, complete required paperwork associated with the creeling such as returning fiber, maintain creel in an efficient manners and any other tasks assigned by leadership

      • Must be able to stand continuously stand throughout an 8-12 hour shift traverse up and down catwalk, stairs and throughout department.

      • Must have the ability to work either an 8 or 12 hour schedule, plus overtime when necessary.

      • Must have the ability to work any shift to cover training needs across all shifts.

      • Must fully understand tasks associated with the creeling process.
