      Preferred Qualifications:

      Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from an accredited college or university. Two years of experience as a sworn staff member in law enforcement. You must have your Basic Law Enforcement Certification (PBLE/Police Academy) for this position. (Entry pay with mandate: $64,900.95). Possess sound judgement and decision-making qualities. Demonstrated solid computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to use proper and effective interview and interrogation techniques. Ability to conduct surveillance, use covert devices and interview informants. Possess a knowledge of legal procedures and processes as well as knowledge of law enforcement databases and other available sources of information. Ability to prepare reports that detail investigation findings. Possess tactical skills, conducting homicide, gang narcotics and financial investigations.

      Note: This position will be a Field Agent in the North Region. The selected applicant must either reside within the region or be within 25 miles of the region. Extensive statewide travel and regional travel required. Must be able to successfully pass a thorough background and polygraph investigation in compliance with GDC policy. Must be able to successfully complete Basic GDC and GBI Training Academy.
