      About Windsor Center

      The Windsor Center is a short-stay crisis stabilization unit (CSU) providing 24/7 services to adults and youth. Our goals include increasing access to crisis services, reducing inpatient hospitalization, minimizing law enforcement involvement, and strengthening outpatient behavioral health services. Windsor Center is contracted with the San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health.

      What You Will Do

      Under supervision, serve as a primary support and case manager to conduct screening, assessments, and link members and their families to necessary services to manage crises.

      Compensation and Shifts

      We offer differentials: 6% for evening shifts, 10% for night shifts, and additional weekend differentials. Starting wages range from $21.00 to $25.15, depending on experience and location. Shifts are on-call; hours vary as needed.

      Essential Functions

      • Demonstrate Telecare's mission, values, and beliefs in interactions
      • Collaborate with members to create and implement Recovery Plan goals
      • Provide specialized crisis intervention services, including screening and assessments
      • Facilitate educational and coping groups
      • Intervene appropriately during crises
      • Perform officer of the day duties on a rotating basis
      • Document and collect data accurately
      • Coordinate care transitions and connect members with community resources
      • Assist with activities of daily living and appointment scheduling
      • Advocate for members regarding benefits and legal rights
      • Ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
      • Provide transportation and linkage to community services
      • Evade members during assaultive behavior and complete crisis prevention training
      • Provide quality services as per program standards

      Position requires transporting members in personal vehicle with valid driver's license and insurance.

      Qualifications

      Required

      • High School diploma or equivalent plus 3 years of mental health/community services experience, or Associate's degree with 2 years experience, or Bachelor's in Social Services
      • At least 1 year of crisis intervention experience
      • Sensitivity to multicultural populations
      • Age 18+
      • CPR, CPI, and First Aid certification within 60 days of employment
      • Valid driver's license and insurance
      • Willingness to use personal vehicle for work

      Preferred

      • 4+ years in behavioral health setting
      • Experience with intensive case management and psychiatric rehab
      • Experience in outpatient or community mental health

      Skills

      • Understanding of legal rights and processes of members
      • Effective communication skills
      • Computer literacy
      • Ability to assess safety risks
      • Rapport-building and engagement skills
      • Excellent driving skills
      • Knowledge of medical and psychiatric terminology
      • Ability to learn billing codes within two months

      Physical Demands

      Must be able to stand, sit, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, and drive regularly. Exposure to hazardous materials may occur.
