      Job summary

      The post holder will be based within North Lincolnshire supporting the operational oversight of Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Services (CRHT)

      CRHT provide specialist assessment for individuals referred into services for urgent mental health care on a 24/7 basis. The team offers initial screening and clinical triage to determine individual's presentation to determine how best to support with their mental health. Additional to this, short term home treatment is offered to minimise risks and prevent hospital admission, allowing additional support to achieve recovery from crisis to home. The team is comprised of a range of healthcare professionals which includes, a consultant, nursing team, occupational therapist, psychology, support recovery workers and non-medical prescribers.

      Additional to this, CRHT support the function of Haven House, a four bedded crisis bed unit which is utilised as an alternative option to admission into hospital where deemed safe and an effective need.

      Main duties of the job

      • To provide support to the service manager to meet the aims and objectives of the service including deputising and delegated responsibilities.
      • To provide support to the service manager in the effective day to day management of the team within the resources available and agreed governance frameworks.
      • To attend relevant MDT Meetings and represent the Trust from a Mental Health Perspective.
      • To undertake investigations in line with the relevant organisational policy (e.g. complaints, Incidents, Serious Incidents, Structured Judgement Reviews, HR investigations).
      • To identify and address poor performance in line with organisational policy.
      • To alert the Service Manager in a timely manner to any concerns about the team's effectiveness, or that of any of its members.
      • To review staffing levels and skill mix as necessary.
      • To be responsible for the leadership, mentorship and support of staff on a daily basis.
      • To manage and provide management / clinical supervision to staff under your line management.
      • To monitor the performance of the team, ensuring waiting times and Key Performance Indicators are adhered to; escalating appropriately to the service manager if any issues are to arise.
      • Work within the infection control agenda to improve standards.
      • Improving environments for patients.
      • Work with patients and their carer/relative in addressing concerns by building closer relationships.
      • To promote partnership working with patients, carers and stakeholders.
