      Job Title: Crisis Response Clinician
      Location: Indianapolis, IN
      Department: Crisis Services
      Employment Type: Full-time

      Job Summary:

      To lessen trauma, divert from emergency departments or criminal justice system, and prevent unnecessary psychiatric hospitalizations. The Mobile Crisis Team will be available to Marion and Johnson County clients regardless of age and/or ability to pay.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Triage calls in order to assess clinical severity of the of crisis situation and determine whether the crisis meets the minimum clinical expectations for an in-person response. Utilize telehealth or over the phone response to situations that need assistance but are less severe thus not requiring in person response. If clinical event requires an in-person response, the clinician will have 60 minutes to respond to the location of the crisis event.
      • Clinical interventions will have a completion of assessment to determine appropriate clinical interventions, including may include de-escalation and stabilization of client’s interactions, development of safety planning, development and/or reinforcing of potential coping skills, connection to appropriate resources, and clinical assessment to determine if more intensive intervention would continue to be necessary
      • Continue to assist clients in maintaining their stability including connecting them to the appropriate resources based on their mental health, substance abuse and or physical needs. Coordinate and connect clients for evaluations by psychiatric and/or primary care providers.

      Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

      • Follow up with clients who reached out to the after-hours crisis line to follow up and make sure that can connect clients to appropriate level of treatment. Coordinate with Care Coordination team to make sure that A&C crisis clients are connected to their ongoing teams and any additional needed services are identified and added as part of treatment plan.
      • Completion of risk assessment and safety planning for high-risk clients on Zero Suicide Pathway. Completion of weekly Zero Suicide Pathway contacts that are assigned to the crisis therapist caseload
      • Creating a professional environment by promoting open communication and building upon the strengths of the team

      Experience and/or Education Qualifications:

      • Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field. Must be licensed or license eligible
      • LCSW, LMHC, LMFT
      • Travel is required
      • Minimum of two years' experience working in human service-related field (licensed)

      Employment Requirements:

      • Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect and fingerprint check.
      • Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.
      • All training requirements including Relias at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter.
      • Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record and current auto insurance.
      • Must be 21 years of age or older
      • Minimum one (1) year of recovery
      • Within the first year of employment, receive training on:
      • Signs and symptoms of disability related illnesses
      • Working with families and caretaker of clients receiving services
      • Rights, roles, and responsibilities of client and families
      • Client self-help skills
      • Individual treatment plans
      • Basic principle of assessment
      • Special needs and characteristics
      • Philosophy of community support approach
      • Suicide awareness/precaution
      • Quality assurance
      • Infection control
      • Philosophy, values, and objectives of CPRC
      • Behavioral management/crisis intervention
      • Issues/involuntary hold
