- Providing supervision to one to two supervisees
- Collaboration with youth, families, probation officers, legal professionals and various additional stakeholders
- Maintaining a caseload of youth
- Conducting comprehensive assessments to include making treatment recommendations
- Developing and implementing treatment plans and documenting progress on clients
- Providing individual, group, and family therapy utilizing evidence-based practices to youth on probation and their families
- Providing crisis intervention services
- Providing effective treatment to clients with mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorders that result in improved personal outcomes and stabilization of mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorders
- Completing clinical record-keeping, court reports and administrative functions
- Implementing program, systems, state and federal directives
- Delivering treatment services to clients in the early stages of change
- Master’s Degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related behavioral science field
- Possesses an unrestricted LPC or LCSW in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- 2-3 years of experience providing therapeutic services and crisis intervention to children, adolescents and families with issues related to mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorders in an outpatient program setting.
- 1-2 years professional level supervisory experience
- Clinical supervisors with 2 or more years of supervisory experience and an identified supervisory style
- Ability to provide LCSW or LPC licensure supervision to candidates seeking licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Experience providing mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring assessments to at-risk youth
- Experience providing individual, group, and family therapy to at-risk youth experiencing mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring disorders
- Experience collaborating with other community agencies and stakeholders
- Experience providing face-to-face crisis intervention for clients to include evaluating risk and need for psychiatric hospitalization
- Experience documenting clinical and collateral information into an Electronic Health Record
- Experience with diverse backgrounds – awareness surrounding cultural competence
- Experience delivering therapeutic care utilizing evidence-based practices
- Bilingual and multilingual candidates encouraged to apply
- Must possess a valid driver's license and pass a DMV record check
- Must pass TB test
- Offer of employment is contingent upon the candidate passing a fingerprint based National Criminal History Record Check. - Child Protective Services Requirements: Effective 1999, mandated by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services 12VA35-105-400 rules and Regulations for Licensing Providers by the Department of Behavioral Health and Development Services related to Criminal Registry Checks, a search of the registry of founded complaints of child abuse and neglected maintained by the Department of Social Services.

We are seeking qualified applicants to fill a full-time Therapist III position in the New Horizons Probation Program. This position will be based at the Molinari Juvenile Shelter Home and is a supervisory position. The position requires a 4 or 5-day work week.
About This Role:
New Horizons Probation Program offers a team environment. New Horizons Probation Therapist III’s provide supervision to one to two direct reports and provide direct clinical services to youth who are court-involved and their families.

This full-time position will be based at the Molinari Juvenile Shelter Home and requires a 4 or 5-day work week.
Starting Salary Range: $82,777.50 - $111,033.00
This position qualifies for a hiring bonus of $5,000. This bonus will be paid in two equal installments as funds permit. The first installment of $2500 is payable after (90) days of employment have been completed. The final $2,500 installment will be payable following the completion of the probationary period.
