Open Until Filled - Trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; and disciplines associates; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
- Advises management of purchasing requirements with a focus on minimizing waste and avoiding product shortages.
- Uses approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
- Responsible for specific ordering requirements
- Maintains all Nutrition Center production kitchen packaging equipment.
- Stores, labels, and dates food items according to policy; maintains established food rotations in storage to minimize spoilage and waste.
- Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
- Supervise the custodian on the cleanliness & organization of the production kitchen, and all refrigeration.
- Operates food-service equipment in a safe manner and according to established policies and procedures.
- Assists with menu development for all locations.
- Complete meal distribution production records, fill requisitions and maintain inventory on prepared meals.
- Co-Manage all catering and field trips orders.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of food production and safety.
- Demonstrated knowledge of sound team leadership practices and management procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations which concern school meals.
- Servsafe certified.
- Experience in employee supervision.
- Demonstrated experience and best practices in the implementation of food production systems.
- Good communication and computer skills

Annual Pay- $70,000.00
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY
Under the general direction of the Director of Food and Nutrition Services, will maintain & administer the production of meals to provide the best possible quality and nutritious meals with available financial resources. Directly supervises food-service associates in accordance with policies, procedures, applicable laws related to food & nutrition & CSDE Guidelines
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
REQUIREMENTS:
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
A minimum of five years’ experience in employment in positions including direct supervisory capacity in food services
