- New employees hired into the District after September 1, 2012 must have California and Nevada RN licenses. Effective November 2014, if hired as a temporary or seasonal RN, must have current CA RN license only.
- Current employees in this job classification as of 1/1/2023 must obtain their NV RN license by 6/1/2023

- Two years current Emergency Department experience as an RN or one year Emergency Department and one year critical care RN experience.
- Temporary or seasonal staff may be hired with only one year of Emergency Department or Critical Care RN Experience.
This position is expected to be a full-time, mid shift, with the hours of 12pm - 12am.
Bargaining Unit: EAP
Rate of Pay: $63.57/hour + DOE + Shift Differential
Summary
Functions independently in performing the nursing process through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of safe therapeutic care for patients’ needs and/or complications of treatment in the Emergency Department.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

No supervisory responsibilities.Minimum Education/Experience
Associate's Degree Degree from college or vocational school from a National League of Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or equivalent accredited school of nursing. The nurse shall have completed a nursing education program that included clinical experiences with actual patients under the supervision of qualified faculty.1-2 years relevant experience

Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
Pediatric Advanced Life Support
BLS/ACLS/PALS: Employee will be enrolled in the Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Entry or Prep Curriculum (depending on their previous BLS, ACLS, and/or PALS certification).
