POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the custodial services across all district schools and facilities. This position ensures that all buildings are clean, safe, and well maintained to support a healthy learning and working environment.
Will supervise custodial staff, manage supplies and equipment, and maintain compliance with safety and cleanliness standards.

DUTIES:
• Maintain a Colorado Driver’s license and maintain eligibility to be covered under the district’s self-insurance pool.
• Effectively manage custodial budget.
• Assist with recruiting of personnel.
• Proactively and continuously evaluate the custodial areas district wide.
• Provides leadership for custodial programs and services so as to enhance the effectiveness of schools and thereby, the performance of students.
• Supervises and evaluates custodial staff in order to promote their professional growth and improvement skills, as well as improve custodial programs and services.
• Manage pest control district-wide.
• Manage waste disposal contracts.
• Collaborates with other staff to support and achieve custodial goals and priorities.
• Provide support to Operations, Maintenance, and Construction.
• Prompt implementation of any recommendations made by the Assistant Director of Operations, Maintenance, and Construction.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in a school setting preferred.
• Minimum two years leadership experience in related areas.
KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS and ABILITIES:
• Oral and written communication skills; English language skills.
• Interpersonal relations skills; Customer service and public relations skills.
• Ability to diffuse and manage volatile and stressful situations.
• Personal computer and keyboarding skills; Advanced computer hardware and software skills; Operating knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office and Google.
• Operating knowledge of and experience with general office equipment, including telephones, copier, fax machine, etc.
• Knowledge of operating, installing, supporting and maintaining PCs and associated application software preferred at hire.
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Bilingual oral and written communication skills preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Speaks to students, parents, colleagues, and community with respect and dignity.

• Promotes and follows Board of Education policies, building or department procedures, and any other rules and regulations as may be established by central, building, or department administration.
• Ability to respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
Will work between the hours of 6:30 am to 3:30 pm during the school year. Start and end time may vary slightly depending on the need.
STARTING SALARY RANGE: $30.03 per hour + benefits. Additional compensation is determined based on relevant experience.
WORK YEAR: 253 contract days (25-26 Calendar)
