      Responsibilities:

      • Cleans public and staff spaces of the museum, Glassell School, house museums, and related buildings, as well as museum properties using standardized practices and procedures
      • Cleans work areas and administrative offices of the museum and museum properties
      • Cleans employee and public restrooms; disinfects, cleans toilets and sinks; mops floors, polishes stainless steel surfaces, replaces towels and soap
      • Cleans windows and interior glass
      • Sweeps, mops, vacuums, dusts, polishes, empties trash, and replaces liners
      • Performs other duties as assigned

      Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

      • Must be able to lift 25 lbs minimum and be able to perform a variety of physical tasks including lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, stair climbing, and walking between buildings
      • Able to follow instructions and perform tasks efficiently
      • Able to work in both a group setting and alone with minimum supervision
      • Available to work occasional overtime, weekends and holidays

      Education and Experience:

      • Previous cleaning experience in a commercial janitorial capacity preferred but not required
