    • Effectively utilize necessary equipment to perform essential custodial job functions
    • Unload, transport and maintain equipment, materials and supplies
    • Assist with district and community activity/event set up and clean up
    • Perform seasonal duties including lawn/landscape care and snow removal
    • Promote good safety practices
    • Uses hand tools of trade and related power equipment, including brooms, mops, floor cleaning and waxing machines, vacuum cleaners, snow removal equipment, power mower and hand tools
    • Follows all applicable safety rules, procedures and regulations governing the proper use of tools and power equipment used in the performance of duties and other duties as delineated in the Custodial II job description
    • Occasional requirement to lift and carry various items weighing a minimum of 30 pounds
    • Occasional requirement to push and pull up to a maximum of 300 pounds (on wheels)
    • High School Diploma or completion of sufficient education to successfully perform the duties of the position
    • Previous experience in building and cleaning maintenance is preferred
    • Motor Vehicle Operator's license and ability to provide own transportation
    • Must be able to demonstrate a basic knowledge of cleaning
    • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to use most common hand/power tools
    • Must possess sufficient physical ability to perform necessary lifting, lift and carry 70 lbs., standing, climbing, walking, etc.
    • Job Title: Custodian II - 2nd Shift

      Location: Kirtland High School (Assignment may include any Facilities
      depending on District needs.)

      Working Days: 5 days per week (Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

      Compensation: $15.87 - $17.43

      Position Function:
      Under the direct supervision of the Director of Maintenance and Operations/or Designee, performs general cleaning and maintenance in school buildings and grounds; maintains equipment in functional condition; and provide a clean and safe environment for students, staff, and community members.

      Working Days: 260
      Summer Hours: Hours worked may be shifted according to District needs.

      Hours:
      Full-time position will equate to 40 hours per week. Other terms and conditions of employment will be determined based upon the number of hours worked.

      Qualifications:
      • High School Diploma or completion of sufficient education to successfully perform the duties of the position

      Assignments may include any/all of the District’s Facilities depending upon the District needs.
