      Position Description

      Job Overview:

      Generally expected to work as a valued member of the XL Specialized Trailers team. Maintains building and grounds by providing housekeeping and repair services.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

      1. Maintains building interior by dusting and polishing furniture, equipment, mirrors, and fixtures; washing windows, counters, walls, ceilings, and woodwork; sweeping, scrubbing, and waxing floors; cleaning and vacuuming drapes, furniture, and carpeting; resupplying rest rooms, replacing light bulbs.
      2. Maintains building accessibility and appearance by picking up papers and trash; removing ice and snow from walkways; painting, maintaining the lawn and surrounding landscape; replacing light bulbs.
      3. Removes trash by employing trash containers; transporting materials to disposal area; recycling materials.
      4. Keeps cleaning equipment operational by following manufacturer's operating and care guidelines; completing operator repairs and parts replacement.
      5. Completes equipment and building repairs by following manufacturer's instructions and maintenance procedures.
      6. Maintains parts and equipment inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed parts; anticipating cleaning equipment replacement; placing orders.
      7. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
      8. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing relating results as needed.

      Ancillary Duties:

      1. Assists with continuous process improvement of XL Specialized Trailers by leading and participating in projects such as lean, 5-S, and Kaizen.
      2. Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall operations of XL Specialized Trailers.

      Supervisory Responsibilities:

      None

      Supervision Received:

      Works under direct supervision. The employee is responsible for planning and carrying out the assignment, keeping the supervisor informed of progress and potential problems or future implications.


      Responsibility for Public Contact:

      Occasional contact requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgement.

      Education and Experience:

      1. High School Diploma or equivalent

      Essential Skills and Experience:

      1. Strong Customer orientation
      2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
      3. Commitment to company values.

      Physical Demands:

      1. Occasional walking, sitting, climbing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
      2. Ability to routinely lift 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50lbs and move up to 100 pounds.

      Work Environment:

      Work is primarily performed indoors in production facility.
