What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Use customer information systems to manage inquiries and account information
- Answer customer inquiries regarding billing, payments, credit, and service requests
- Generate service order requests and assist customers with credit difficulties
- Negotiate payment plans and make referrals for additional assistance
- Handle emergency calls and escalate complex issues to appropriate personnel
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma or GED with up to 2 years of Customer Contact Operations experience
- Basic interpersonal and communication skills in person, by phone, and in writing
- Basic knowledge of computers, including Customer Information Systems and Microsoft Office
- Understanding of billing, rates, credit, and customer accounts
- Availability to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends
