      Current Need:
      McKesson’s Data Governance team is growing! We’re looking for a Customer Data Governance Associate to help ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our customer data. This role is based in Richmond, VA, and qualified candidates must reside within one hour of the city. Please note: relocation assistance is not available.

      What You’ll Do:
      As a key member of the Data Governance team, you will:

      • Review and manage incoming customer data requests through ticketing systems

      • Conduct research and update customer records to ensure data accuracy and completeness

      • Respond to stakeholder inquiries and escalate issues when necessary

      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements

      • Stay current on data privacy and security regulations

      • Follow established protocols for handling sensitive or confidential customer information

      What You Bring:

      • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

      • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

      • A proactive approach to problem-solving and service delivery

      • Commitment to data integrity and compliance

      Minimum Requirements: 2+ years of relevant experience

      Basic Required Skills:

      • Currently reside within 1 hour of Richmond, VA

      • 2 years' experience in data analysis, data governance, data quality or customer data operations

      • Excel Proficiency: Ability to use advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation)

      • Basic Proficiency with SQL and/or other data visualization tools

      • Data Quality Analysis: Ability to identify data inconsistencies, duplicates, and gaps, and recommend corrective actions

      • Process Improvement Mindset: Proactively seeks ways to streamline workflows and improve data accuracy

      • Stakeholder Engagement: Experience working with cross-functional teams

      • Ability to document processes, decisions, and data standards clearly and concisely

      Additional Preferred Skills:

      • Data Management Tools: Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP), data governance platforms, or master data management (MDM) tools

      • Understanding of Data Privacy Regulations: Familiarity with HIPAA, GDPR, or other relevant data protection laws

      • Policy Adherence: Ability to interpret and apply data governance policies and procedures consistently

      Education:

      Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.       Our Base Pay Range for this position

      $69,900 - $116,500
