      About our Team

      As part of our Coporate Marketing group, the Customer Engagement (CE) team are the voice of the buyer and the user, delivering customer loyalty, retention, and upsell value against a ~$300M revenue base. Our CE team are based in the Netherlands, Singapore and USA and combine, customer engagement design, digital execution and performance analysis to ensure buyers and users get the most from our solutions and their relationship with Elsevier at all stages of their life-cycle.

      About the Role

      As a Customer Engagement Manager, you'll drive commercial retention and account growth goals and community engagement and advocacy from within the customer base, supporting the customer's business case for renewal to the customer's buying committee. To support customer success and retention, the Customer Engagement Marketer is data and design driven and leverages a range of marketing approaches including value-based engagement, usage insights, user communities, thought-leadership content, strategic partnerships, life-cycle marketing and testimonials from users and buyers .

      As a CE team member within the Corporate marketing group, this role is a critical maker and creator in designing successful, customer-centric and high-quality programs to enable customer and corporate markets success.

      Responsibilities

      • Ensuring value of our corporate markets portfolio is reinforced to key buyers and influencers through effective formats and channels;
      • Supporting recurring renewals and maximizing customer retention via account growth opportunities;
      • Designing successful use-case driven campaigns to drive awareness and adoption of our portfolio in Life Science and Engineering segments;
      • Building advocacy and trusted partnerships by demonstrating that our solutions and services positively impact research outcomes;
      • Identifying, supporting and developing champions in customer environment.

      Requirements

      • Have experience in customer-centric program development, community development, customer experience and/or customer facing sales role;
      • Have solid experience in managing programs with multiple stake-holders and delivering results in a global matrixed organization;
      • Have good analytical skills and experience in using evidence based data for marketing activity decision making and performance reporting;
      • Be an Excellent Communicator with superior verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills;
      • Have a good customer focus. Be experienced in subscription businesses and Life Sciences or Medical fields;
      • Demonstration of digital marketing skills is preferred.
