      He angitūtanga: The opportunity
      As a Graduate in our Customer Experience and Digital Services department you’ll get broad exposure across a range of services that Auckland Council offer.

      The Customer Experience and Digital Services teams support our frontline channels to deliver excellence in customer experiences by providing innovative and simplified support.

      This role will have a particular emphasis on working on analysing both customer and workforce data, to inform projects and initiatives across our phone, email and digital channels.

      Your day-to-day tasks may involve:

      • Forecasting customer volumes in order to align the right skills and capabilities to meet our customer experience standards.
      • Analysing and assessing the quality of the services we provide and making insights led recommendations for improvement.
      • Taking an active role in building personal capability to truly understand how we work.
      • Getting exposure to enterprise level projects that support enhancing our customer and digital experiences.


      Each rotation will provide a healthy mix of formal learning, on-the-job learning, mentoring from experienced professionals and meaningful work.

      He kōrero mōu: About you
      We are looking for someone who is passionate about customer and employee experience. You will enjoy and hold capability working with complex numerical information, whilst being able to also take a step back and look at the bigger picture in order to pull together meaningful insights.

      Desirable qualifications:
      Whilst prior applicants have come through either an Operational Research, Science (Statistics or Mathematics), or Commerce (Management, Human Resources) pathway, we welcome applicants with a passion for numbers and a motivation to develop meaningful customer experiences.

      To be eligible to apply, you must have the following:

      • Eligibility to work in New Zealand for more than 3 years without sponsorship
      • Minimum of a relevant Bachelor’s degree completed January 2024 – January 2026
