- Conduct user research to better understand the behaviors of end users, their needs, and pain points.
- Identifying target audiences; creating and refining personas.
- Performing market and competitive research.
- Synthesize various data sources and prioritize insights to inform design decisions.
- Create wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes to visualize and communicate design concepts.
- Iterate on designs based on user feedback and usability testing.
- Design visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces and interactions based on the MVP brand guidelines and human-computer interaction heuristics.
- Work closely with product and technical leads to ensure that design concepts are technically feasible, early, and often in the design process.
- Work closely with peer designers and the Lead User Experience Strategist to ensure the proper use and maturation of the MVP design system and component library.
- Work closely with peer designers and the Lead User Experience Strategist to ensure that all experiences are built with cohesiveness and consistency in mind.
- Ensure that all interactions meet the standards for accessibility as defined by MVP.
- Evaluate, test, and design the hierarchy and presentation of content to ensure that it aligns with the end users’ mental model and aids in navigation and understanding.
- Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to validate design decisions and identify areas for improvement.
- Analyze testing results and implement changes to enhance the user experience across all measures.
- Evaluate the performance of design concepts through standardize scoring metrics, such as SUS.
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless and user-friendly product experience that meets business goals and technical constraints.
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings and all agile ceremonies to provide input on design and user experience considerations, updates, and concerns.
- Meet regularly with CX Design Team to share work, provide peer design feedback, support one another, and build a culture of design-lead innovation.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Share insights and contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes within the organization.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience working as a User Experience Designer, Product Designer, Interaction Designer or related experience
- Experience working as an embedded designer within an agile team.
- Experience leading with human-centered practices.
- Experience testing and iterating digital experiences, using the least resources to prove viability.
- Experience working with developers to handoff, review, and QA production-ready designs.
- Experience working with a design system to build usability and delightful experiences.
- Experience in the healthcare industry with a focus on experience design or product design
- Experience with lean methods and mindset.
- A portfolio that can be shared in a digital format (PDF or website) that demonstrates direct experience as a User Experience Designer and clearly outlines your role and contributions.
- Experience with Miro or similar remote collaboration tools.
- Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.
- Ability to present to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent planning, facilitation, and organizational skills.

The User Experience Designer – Digital Products, will be part of the Customer Experience Team and will work closely with a digital delivery scrum team. This role will be responsible for converting product vision to high-fidelity deliverables, and all steps in-between. This role will be equal parts user experience design and user interface design, requiring the individual to zoom in and out appropriately throughout the delivery lifecycle.
The candidate will need advanced skills associated with the user experience and user interface design fields, including but not limited to; storytelling, user research and testing methods, design systems, user interface guidelines, wire-framing, prototyping, interaction design, and agile delivery. Most importantly, this candidate will need to embrace ambiguity and push on the inherent constraints that come with working in a regulated industry to advance innovation.
