- Check stock to ensure merchandise is ready to be picked up.
- Able to be cross-trained in the Front Office and Customer Return positions.
- Addresses customer complaints and resolves problems as needed.
- Leverages technology in order to facilitate the customer experience.
- Completes customer check-in procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Educates customers on the check-in and pick-up procedures.
- Assists in resolving fundamental customer issues.
- Basic reading, arithmetic, writing, and oral communication skills.
- Responding to public address system announcements.
- We are identifying and reading reports, tickets, and UPC labels.
- Requires recognizing, identifying, and using merchandise and necessary reports.
- Long periods of sitting and standing.
- Exposure to concrete Flooring
- Exposure to fluorescent lighting.
- Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back
- The Customer Pickup Clerk position involves lifting, gripping, bending, kneeling, stooping, and moving for 8 hours or more daily.
- Requires the ability to move around the store and maneuver merchandise when necessary, must be able to stand/walk, and regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-50 pounds).
The Customer Pickup Clerk plays a critical customer service role by providing customers with fast, friendly, and accurate service. The Customer Check-In Associate will verify customer identification upon check in, explain AFW pickup policies and procedures to the customer, enter the customers information into our database and verify the order is correct and ready to be picked, assign the customer a pickup pager, and assist with any customer issues that may arise.
