      The Opportunity

      Are you energized by the chance to shape customer strategy and drive commercial excellence in emerging markets? As the Manager, Customer Planning & Strategy based in Downers Grove, IL, you will play a pivotal role in executing GPN’s Americas Business Unit strategies across key brands and customer joint business plans. Reporting to the Director, Customer Planning & Strategy, you will serve as the primary liaison between brand and customer teams—translating strategic vision into actionable plans that deliver sales and profit growth. This is a high-impact role where your insights, collaboration, and leadership will directly influence GPN’s success in emerging markets.

      What You’ll Do

      • Act as the primary liaison between brand organizations and customer teams for all sales strategy initiatives.
      • Support customer sales teams to achieve sales and profit goals across all products within your assigned group.
      • Conduct analysis for key customer presentations and develop self-serve sales tools for broader use.
      • Lead customer-specific product initiatives (e.g., displays, exclusives) through the stage gate process in collaboration with brand management.
      • Execute commercialization of category/brand plans tailored to specific channels.
      • Champion best practices in assortment, display, pricing, promotion, and shelving by category and customer.
      • Serve as the subject matter expert on customer resets and retail event calendars.
      • Partner with brand teams to implement impactful shopper marketing programs aligned with brand strategies.
      • Build and nurture cross-functional relationships with customer account teams, trade development, marketing, and finance.

      The Skills You Will Bring to the Team

      • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Finance.
      • 4–5 years of experience in sales, brand, channel/trade marketing, or customer strategic planning in North America.
      • Experience in direct customer sales and working within a larger brand portfolio in CPG is a plus.
      • Strong project management skills and a self-motivated, results-driven mindset.
      • Ability to craft persuasive, data-driven presentations to gain internal and external stakeholder support.
      • Confident communicator in cross-functional settings; able to influence without authority and lead through collaboration.
      • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
      • Comfortable in fast-paced, matrixed, and dynamic environments.
      • Proficiency in MS Office, NIQ, SPINS, Tableau, and web-based applications.
      • Willingness to travel based on business and customer needs.
      • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a strong work ethic.

Compensation for roles at Glanbia varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. Glanbia provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in IL. The annual salary for IL based employees for this role is $115,000-145,000 plus an annual bonus. This range may not be applicable to other locations. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range.
