Communicating with supporters and providing personalised and tailored responses to all enquiries and complaints
Listening to the needs of each supporter, and considering and understanding their personal experiences and motivations
Resolving supporter enquiries at the first point of contact where possible
Using interactions to cross promote CRUK's range of engagement opportunities and services
Being a Race for Life specialist and maintaining a broad knowledge of all CRUK's campaigns, products, and services
Taking every possible opportunity to increase fundraising and/or support of CRUK
Maximising supporter contribution to CRUK through the promotion of Gift Aid
Working across all our services and channels e.g. Outbound calls, inbound calls, Live chat, email, Social Media
Passion for delivering excellent customer service
Experience of working in a service-related environment, including communicating with customers
Experience of conversing confidently over the phone
Experience of writing letters and emails with a high standard of grammar
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work well under pressure/high volume/High demand (300 calls per day)

Customer Service Advisor (Race 4 Life)
£20,820 per annum + benefits
Directorate: Marketing, Fundraising & Engagement
Contract: 8 x 6 month Fixed Term Contract - starting on 12th Feb 2024
Hours: Full time 35 hours per week
Location: Homebased anywhere in the UK

We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Customer Service Advisor. This role is specifically to support our Race for Life campaigns than run from May to October each year. We want all of our supporters to have a positive experiencing when interacting with us, so we will need you to provide excellent customer service ton the phone, via email and letters and, in the process, recognise opportunities to inspire whoever you are speaking to, to support Cancer Research across our many income streams.
We are nothing without our supporters, so this is a great opportunity to make a difference and be at the heart of what we do, supporting and helping those who are as dedicated to beating cancer as you. You could already work in customer service, work in a call centre, work as a sales advisor or sales executive.
It’s a fun working environment where you can work locally to support one of the UKs most trusted brands. There is lots more too; 25 days holiday + flexible bank holidays , sick pay and lots of development opportunities.
