What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist customers with U-Haul products and services both inside and outside the U-Haul center
- Utilize smartphone-based U-Scan technology for managing rentals and inventory
- Clean and inspect equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and safety
- Prepare rental invoices and handle equipment returns
- Participate in ongoing training through U-Haul University
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moving equipment weighing at least 50 lbs.
- Willingness to use protective clothing or gear when necessary
- Ability to work in environments with moderate risks or discomforts
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in customer service or a related field
- Familiarity with equipment maintenance and inspections
- Certification in forklift operation (available through U-Haul upon employment)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Desire to participate in continuous education and skill development
