- Respond to customer inquiries on a wide range of matters, providing accurate and timely advice via phone, face-to-face, or in writing.
- Manage fleet services, assist with building orientations, and handle security access management.
- Provide first-level support for facilities issues, as well as manage mailroom and digital mail scanning services.
- Maintain and update records and databases to ensure all information is accurate and easily accessible.
- Coordinate routine financial transactions and purchasing services, ensuring compliance with agency standards.
- Support emergency management protocols and procedures to ensure staff safety.
- Assist with general administrative tasks such as records management, meeting coordination, and preparing correspondence.
- Have experience in fleet management, mail handling, facilities support, and visitor management.
- Be proactive and organized, capable of managing multiple tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills, responding to inquiries and issues with professionalism and efficiency.
- Show attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
- Be familiar with managing building security, emergency protocols, and maintaining operational continuity.

Clerk Grade: 3/4 Temporary, 3-month opportunity with a possible extension of up to 5 months
Location: Sydney (Supporting McKell, 1 Oxford St, and 231 Elizabeth St)
Salary Band: $79,032 to $86,539 plus superAbout the Opportunity
The Customer Service Officer plays a crucial role within Workplace Services, supporting the daily operations of three key buildings: McKell, 1 Oxford St, and 231 Elizabeth St. You’ll be part of a small, dedicated team that ensures high-quality support for staff and facilities. Your work will directly impact the smooth running of essential services such as fleet management, building orientations, security access management, first-level facilities support, and emergency management.
This role requires in-office attendance 5 days a week to maintain the high standard of support required for both staff and building operations.
