      Overview

      Shinola is currently hiring for an opening in our Customer Service department. We are looking for a full-time Customer Services Representative, who is detail oriented, self-starter who would like to be part of an innovative, fast-paced work environment. The qualified individual will assist customers via phone, live chat, and emails with placing orders, assisting customers with exchanges, product questions, and resolving other service-related issues.

      Responsibilities

      • Provide outstanding customer service via phone, email, and live chat in a timely and friendly manner.
      • Resolve product issues by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction and follow through to ensure resolution.
      • Attract potential customers by answering product questions and suggesting information about other products.
      • Quickly resolve problems regarding deliveries, product quality issues, transactions, and less than stellar experiences.
      • Respond to customer inquiries formulating detailed responses.
      • Demonstrates ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers.
      • Report issues back to the company for continuous improvement and overall satisfaction.
      • Assist with multiple departmental functions or projects as needed.
      • Assist with day-to-day operational/administration needs.

      Qualifications

      • Available 9:00am - 5:00pm EST Monday-Friday
      • 2+ years of customer service experience.
      • High school diploma or equivalent.
      • 1+ year of e-commerce experience preferred.
      • Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
      • Great customer service skills and seeks to resolve problems in efficient matter.
      • Ability to learn new skills and other related tasks.
      • Ability to work with a sense of urgency while maintaining accuracy.
      • Consistent work history/strong work ethic.
      • On time attendance and schedule flexibility required.
      • Positive attitude, hardworking, and willingness to learn.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Internet.
