What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist customers with U-Haul products and services both inside and outside the center
- Utilize smartphone-based technology to manage rentals and inventory
- Clean, inspect, and maintain equipment, including trucks and trailers
- Prepare rental invoices and accept returned equipment
- Drive a forklift and fill propane, with certification offered upon employment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs
- Willingness to work in environments with moderate risks or discomforts
- Availability to participate in ongoing training and education
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in customer service or related fields
- Familiarity with U-Haul products and services
- Basic mechanical skills or knowledge of equipment maintenance
- Certification in propane filling or forklift operation (can be acquired through U-Haul)
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor
