What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist customers with U-Haul products and services both inside and outside the U-Haul center
- Utilize smartphone-based technology to efficiently manage rentals and inventory
- Perform equipment inspections and maintenance, including checking fluid levels
- Prepare rental invoices and handle the return of rental equipment
- Participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University to enhance skills and knowledge
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moving equipment weighing at least 50 lbs
- Willingness to work in a moderate-risk environment and adhere to safety precautions
- Availability for hands-on working interviews
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous customer service experience
- Familiarity with moving and transportation equipment
- Ability to obtain certifications for propane filling and forklift operation
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate customers
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
