What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services
- Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory
- Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers, ensuring equipment is clean and inspected
- Answer customer inquiries and educate them regarding products and services
- Prepare rental invoices and accept returned equipment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs
- Willingness to work in environments requiring safety precautions
- Availability for ongoing education and training
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in customer service or retail environments
- Familiarity with equipment handling and maintenance
- Certification in forklift operation or propane filling (available through U-Haul upon employment)
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
