What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist customers with U-Haul products and services both inside and outside the U-Haul center
- Utilize smartphone-based U-Scan technology for managing rentals and inventory
- Clean and inspect equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and fluid levels
- Prepare rental invoices and handle the return of equipment
- Participate in continuous education and training programs offered by U-Haul
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs
- Willingness to adhere to safety precautions while working around moving parts or machines
- Availability to work in a moderate-risk environment requiring protective gear
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in customer service or retail environments
- Familiarity with rental equipment and basic maintenance procedures
- Certifications in forklift operation and propane filling (training provided upon employment)
