What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist customers with U-Haul products and services both inside and outside the center
- Utilize smartphone-based technology to manage rentals and inventory efficiently
- Move, hook up, and inspect U-Haul trucks and trailers, ensuring they are clean and operational
- Prepare rental invoices and handle equipment returns
- Participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University to enhance skills and knowledge
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical tasks including moving equipment weighing at least 50 lbs
- Willingness to adhere to safety precautions and use protective gear when necessary
- Availability for flexible work hours, including weekends and holidays
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in customer service or a related field
- Familiarity with rental equipment and vehicle maintenance
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies
- Certification in forklift operation or willingness to obtain certification
